Conference badges – getting to face the right way.

There are lots of good things about this conference. Complaining about the weather being too cold must be a unique experience in San Diego this time of year. Going to bed too late. Getting up too early. Newspaper which needed reading and were left neatly folded  a day later. One thing which I have discovered I have a particular problem with is conference badges.

For most of Tuesday I was walking around the conference with a name badge that said Agenda. By late Tuesday I had discovered my problem and put an effort into turning the badge around so people could read my name. The badge had other ideas. I started storing a pen at the back of the badge and it wanted to proudly show this to the other delegates.
 

Yesterday morning I took more drastic action. As usual my tag was being displayed facing my chest. I unhooked it turned it around. This should have solved the problem as the badge had been resolving itself so that it always faced that way. Clearly the badge did not realize I had corrected my problem and it decided that now was the time it should solve the situation itself. Once again my badge was facing the wrong way.
