Idiom Technologies, Inc. Names Joe Fiorentino President And Chief Executive Officer
Waltham, Massachusetts - November 25, 2002 - Idiom Technologies, Inc., the leader in global content management solutions, today announced the appointment of Joe Fiorentino, formerly vice president of worldwide sales, as president and chief executive officer. Fiorentino is responsible for driving revenues and leading overall corporate and product strategies as Idiom continues to bring together the worlds of globalization and content management technologies.
Fiorentino brings to his new role more than 20 years experience managing sales organizations and leading high-growth software companies toward long-term success. Prior to joining Idiom in December of 2001, he served as vice president of worldwide sales for Framingham-based Eprise Corp. In his role at Eprise, Fiorentino was responsible for driving the company's rapid growth and positioning the company for its successful IPO in 2000.
"Succeeding in today's competitive marketplace requires the unique combination of vision and leadership that Joe possesses," commented Bob Davoli, Idiom board member and general partner with lead investor Sigma Partners. "I am confident his breadth of industry knowledge along with his proven ability to lead will contribute greatly to Idiom's future growth and success."
Fiorentino's other successes include his role as vice president of sales at American Internet, where he successfully established a significant client base of global 100 accounts, driving a 300% increase in revenues, leading up to American Internet's acquisition by Cisco Systems in 1999. Fiorentino has also held senior-level assignments at OrderTrust, Sun Microsystems, and Internet-based software solutions provider FTP Software, Inc.
"This is an exciting time for Idiom and I look forward to the challenges ahead and leading the company into its next stage of growth as we respond to the changing demands of the industry," said Fiorentino, president and chief executive officer. "Our unique approach to integrated globalization and content management puts us in a position of leadership in the market and has us positioned for even greater success as companies plan their global strategies for 2003."
Fiorentino's appointment comes on the heels of the addition of two new major clients - eBay and Motorola - to Idiom's growing roster of customers. Both customers are reflective of the major growth Idiom is experiencing as more multinational enterprises are turning to Idiom to streamline their global content management processes.
