Idiom Recognizes Mcafee And Xilinx For Website Globalization Achievements

Idiom Customers Named as 2006 Ten Best International Web Support Sites Award Winners

Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - March 13, 2006 - Idiom^® Technologies, Inc. (Idiom), the leading independent provider of scalable software solutions for accelerating and optimizing globalization initiatives, today recognized the achievements of two of its customers, McAfee and Xilinx, that were named 2006 Ten Best International Web Support Sites Award winners. The inaugural awards, presented by the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) and the Association of Support Professionals (ASP), were established to recognize excellence in global web-based customer support.

McAfee was recognized for its self-service web portals accessible through www.mcafeehelp.com. The portals, that encapsulate Customer Service, Technical Support and Virus Removal Service, reflect McAfee's commitment to creating a positive customer support experience across all languages and products. McAfee currently provides support across 15 languages for 27 countries around the world, with consistently high self-help resolution rates for customers who use their support portals.

Xilinx was lauded for providing localized customer support in English, Japanese and Chinese. The company's website provides a consistent level of international support across its navigation, search and content templates and was strong in interactive features and personalization/locale-specific adaptation. Today, Xilinx leads one of the fastest growing segments of the semiconductor industry, Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), and has more than 7,500 customers worldwide.

In order to be eligible for these awards, customer support sites needed to provide support in at least two languages in addition to that of their home market. Each entry was then evaluated based on five criteria: overall usability and quality, knowledgebase and search implementation, interactive features, personalization and local-specific adaptation, and the localization process.
