Idiom Appoints New Vice President Of Engineering
Award-Winning Industry Veteran Eric Richard Joins Idiom Management Team
Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - January 17, 2005 - The

® Technologies, Inc., today announced that it has appointed Eric Richard its new vice president of engineering.
Richard joins Idiom from Chicago-based SPSS, where he served as Chief Architect.
Previously, Richard was co-founder, vice president of engineering, and chief technology officer for NetGenesis (acquired by SPSS), where he directed the company's technology development. A recognized leader in the enterprise software industry, Richard has built and directed large-scale development teams that understand the demands of enterprise-class software systems. He has extensive experience in leading high-powered engineering teams that are responsible for all aspects of product development, QA, technical publications and project management.
Prior to NetGenesis, Richard worked at IBM's Almaden Research Center, where he was involved in developing handwriting recognition software. He was also named a finalist in the 2001 Ernst & Young New England Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Richard is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
