New Features of WorldServer 9
Speaker: Andrew Thomas, Idiom
Audience: Current WorldServer users who would like a look at the new and enhanced capabilities of WorldServer 9
This session provides existing WorldServer users an opportunity to explore new and enhanced features of WorldServer 9. As the instructor briefly introduces each feature, an assistant demonstrates these areas of WorldServer.
This session does not assume a deep understanding of existing WorldServer functionality and provides background and foundational content when describing each new feature.
Managing Terminology with WorldServer
Speaker: Chris Wong, Idiom
Audience: Terminologists, localization managers, project managers, WorldServer administrators
Come to this workshop to learn how to acquire, manage, and employ terminology with WorldServer 9. The emphasis is on how you can manage and maintain terminology within WorldServer. The instructor introduces the concept of term status and its central role in terminology management. You will learn how to use workflow with terminology and see how WorldServer simplifies submission and management of proposed terminology throughout the term lifecycle.
WorldServer for Administrators
Speaker: Eric Hodge, Idiom
Audience: New WorldServer administrators, super-users and developers
This condensed training session introduces the administrative aspects of configuring and maintaining a WorldServer system through its user interface. This session covers creating users and groups, permissions, TM and TD individual and group setup, workflow editing, Business Rules, and other related configurations. It also reviews debug and logging information, as well as Auto-Errors, and conceptually introduces common customizations that can be made.
WorldServer for Users
Speaker: Barry Lloyd, Idiom
Audience: Project managers, localization managers, translators, reviewers
This workshop is a condensed training session that introduces the features and benefits of the current version, WorldServer 9, and provides familiarization with the user interface. At a high level, this workshop explores core components such as WorldServer workflow, projects, translation life cycle using translation memory and terminology databases, and other common user concepts.
This workshop helps new or prospective end-users of WorldServer to understand how the product is used in day-to-day practice.
WorldServer Desktop Workbench 9
Speaker: Dima Rogozin, Idiom
Audience: Translators, Localization Project Managers, others interested in translation environment tools
The presenter demonstrates all of the major features available in the upcoming version 9 of WorldServer Desktop Workbench, and also shows a number of minor enhancements to this increasingly popular tool for translators. Attendees will learn how to configure Desktop Workbench, manage WorldServer projects, perform segment translations, use the Auto Search window to incorporate translation memory and terminology database entries into segment translations, and exchange translation-kit files with WorldServer.
Idiom WorldServer Sales Training for LSPs
